![]() Author Laura Robb Powhatan School, Boyce, Virginia Laura Robb, author of Reading Strategies That Work and Teaching Reading in Middle School, has taught language arts at Powhatan School in Boyce, Virginia, for more than 30 years. She is a co-author of the Reading and Writing Sourcebooks for grades 3-5 and the Summer Success reading program. Robb also mentors and coaches teachers in Virginia public schools and speaks at conferences throughout the country on teaching reading and writing. Consulting Authors Ron Klemp Los Angeles Unified School District, Los Angeles, California Ron Klemp is the Coordinator of Reading for the Los Angeles Unified School District. He has taught reading, English, and social studies and was a middle school Dean of Discipline. He is also a coordinator/facilitator at the Secondary Practitioner Center, a professional development program in the Los Angeles Unified School District. He has been teaching at California State University, Northridge, Cal Lutheran University, and National University. Wendell Schwartz Stevenson High School, Lincolnshire, Illinois Wendell Schwartz has been a teacher of English for 36 years. For the last 24 years he also has served as the Director of Communication Arts at Adlai Stevenson High School. He has taught gifted middle school students for the last 12 years, as well as teaching graduate level courses for National Louis University in Evanston, Illinois.
