nhancing Education Through Technology (Title IID) is a new generation of grants created by the consolidation of the Technology Literacy Challenge Fund (TLCF) and Technology Innovation Challenge Grant programs into a single State grant program.
The goals of the program are to improve student academic achievement through the use of technology in elementary schools and secondary schools; assist students in crossing the digital divide by ensuring that they are technologically literate; and to aid teachers in integrating technology into the curriculum to improve student achievement.
In each state, 50% of Title IID is distributed by a formula based on a district’s number of children in poverty, while the other 50% is distributed in state-level competitions.
What Will It Fund?
Each Local Educational Agencies receiving Ed Tech funds is required to use at least 25 percent of its award for high-quality professional development activities. Districts must demonstrate close alignment to the specific program purposes and provide evidence of by research which has been conducted in a rigorous and scientific manner. Grants may fund the following:

Who is Eligible?
Grants are awarded to high-need school districts or consortia of these districts with institutions of higher education, and for-profit, public or private non-profit organizations.
Funding Level:
$20,000 - $100,000 per year is a typical range of awards
