Who is eligible?
Striving Readers grants support the implementation and evaluation of research-based reading interventions in Title I eligible schools that serve one or more grades in grades 6-12. State education agencies may also apply on behalf of schools and may partner with the institutions and organizations listed above.
Funding Level:
$30 million dollars has been awarded for the 2006-2007 school year. President Bush has requested a $70.3 million increase in the Striving Readers budget, bringing the total to more than $100 million.
